Amöbe Library is an evolving collection of books that inform and accompany the practices of Amöbe Vals, Amöbe Botanik, and Relationscape Lab. The collections are physically held across the spaces in Vals and Baden and are available by appointment and during events. 

Amöbe Editions allows questions, practices, and collaborations encountered through the work to travel in published form. It includes a self-published series of plant handbooks, artist editions, Barns Barning—Making Ruins, and future publications emerging through Amöbe and Relationscape Lab.

BARNS BARNING—MAKING RUINS 
More than 600 barns remain throughout the Valsertal. Melioration, machinery, and the construction of a milk pipeline have left many of them to the marmots, moss, lichen, weather, and time. Yet the barns are not still. Their aliveness unfolds through weathering, sheltering, remembering, decay, and material return. 
Barns Barning—Making Ruins is a book by Lisa Lee Benjamin, developed through her practice-based doctoral research. Rather than approaching the barns as static heritage objects, the book follows their continuing activity—what Benjamin calls “barning.” 
Through images, stories, artistic practices, curatorial projects, and case studies, the book dwells alongside the barns and the movements and changing relations of the Valsertal.
